The Icon Collector is a program with which files and directories can be
searched for icons. Found icons are listed and can be copied, extracted and
saved as icon- or bitmap files. In addition, the Collector makes it easy to
create icon libraries via drag & drop and to work on them. Therefore the
program was especially written for such people who would like to produce
collections and to distribute them.

From Roger. A new exploit was recently discovered that enables a hacker to
launch malicious code merely by sending you an e-mail message -- you don't
even have to open it to be affected.

Create an IP Address Book. This article shows you how to create your own
DNS database. I do not recommend that you use the shareware featured in the
article since Windows looks at the hosts file first before checking the web
server. Web sites change their DNS numbers sometimes and this could cause
errors when trying to access those sites. However if would like to create
your own "keyword" database for bringing up frequently visited sites this is
an excellent speed tip.

----------------------------------------------------------------
My new computer system is up and running. I am currently "burning it in". I recommend doing this for any new machine. "Burning it in" means to leave it on continuously for a minimum of at least 3 days and to put it through normal usage. By doing this you will generally uncover any hardware problems in your system. Most dealers whether they be retail outlets or clone shops have a short "money back gurantee" in which to return a defective system. It is usually 14 to 28 days. I would not recommend buying a system from a dealer that did not offer this full gurantee. If you order your system through an on-line site or through mail order you may have to pay a "restocking fee" even if it is under warranty. I had my system built through a local clone shop, Micom Systems. I have been doing business with them for the past 5 years and am very pleased with their service.
